Last year’s total weight loss was 7.50 pounds. This was after months of losing and then gaining. This year so far, I’ve lost 10 pounds! So, looking back at the end of 2016 and now looking at my current situation, I think I have most of last year’s “issues” handled.
However, I’m now on Provera and Metaformin. According to a barrage of websites, many women gain, but some lose. I think I’m in the “losing” zone (minus the beginning 2 weeks: I gained a bit). I’m not letting that get to me, though. If I lose that drive, I lose my momentum.
After finding out I am indeed insulin-dependent, I turned even harder to THM (Trim Healthy Mama). It’s a plan that lets you eat some grains. My current weight loss is a testament to that.
After telling my doctor this, he suggested I try Keto.
I actually had an anxiety attack when that happened. I’m doing so well on THM that the idea of switching to something else physically and mentally upset me. I only eat certain grains and in small amounts. I don’t think “going full Keto” will help me right now.
I no longer eat white potatoes (expect during “the holidays” when my Mom makes her infamous potato salad) and I am on the lookout for sugar.
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH SUGAR IN KETCHUP? WHY. WHY!
It’s amazing how much sugar is in every day products. Ketchup, for example. JEEZ. Luckily for me, the dressing I use is low in sugar. I also know ways to diminish sugar if I use a regular product.
Anyone else on THM or cutting back on sugar?
